Here in the House of Song, we like to hit all the right notes, not only with our music, but also with our wine.

Since the launch of our now famed Winehouse Wednesdays a little under a year ago, we’ve seen customers venture far from the usual selections into a totally new tasting world.

If you don’t already know, every Wednesday, we like to reduce the price of all our wines to the cost of our house wine. Yes, you read that right. ANY wine, at house wine cost. Really.

So if you’re not yet a regular Wednesday wine connoisseur, we’ve put together a secret little list of our most popularly ordered wines combined our favourites too.

So without further ado, if you’re…

Whining for a White?

Our Australian Hen & Chicken Chardonnay is a rich white, aged in oak barrels and comes highly recommended by all the bar staff here. This wine brings gentle aromas of citrus and melon for a soft yet deep palate with notes of spices and has a long, fresh finish. Pretty perfect for the warmer weather.

Ravening for a Red?

Our most popular ordered red wine by far is our Spanish Rioja Reserva. Made with 75% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, and 15% Mazuela and Graciano, this Rioja has fine concentrated dark fruit flavours. Rich, just like you’ll be after only spending £19 on it.

Rooting for Rosé?

Our favourite and recommended rosé is our Chapel Down English Rosé. Produced to appeal to a broad range of palates, this wine has the balance of soft summer fruits, creamy vanilla notes and a refreshing finish. Great for a first date drink.

Better with Bubbles?

If wine isn’t your style, then you can pop open a Perrier Jouët champagne for only £32 every Wednesday. (That’s cheaper than a bottle of prosecco.) With a refreshing appley fruit softness and a zesty tone, these bubbles are perfect for any occasion. It goes great with canapes too, in case you needed an excuse to order food.

If none of that floats your boat, we’ll have our musicians playing non-stop live music all evening as per your request.

And if that’s not enough, well then there’s no pleasing you.
